COOKING TIME

ingredients:

  • 2 onions
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 egg
  • 1 glass of sparkling water (200ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 cups corn flakes

  • To fry:
  • 1.5 cups of vegetable oil

Method of preparation:

Carefully peel the onions, cut off the ends, and cut into half-centimeter-thick rings.
Cut each onion slice into rings.
Add the flour and starch to a deep bowl, dip the onion rings in the mixture and shake gently to remove the excess and put them all on a plate.
Add an egg to the rest of the flour and starch mixture you used to dip the onion rings and mix. Add salt and sparkling water and continue mixing.
Grind the corn flakes into flour.
To make it crispy, first dip the onion in the egg solution and then sprinkle it in the corn flakes that you have made into flour.
Repeat the same process for all the onion rings.
Add oil to the pan and heat it well. Fry the onion rings in the hot oil until golden, stirring occasionally.
Serve the crispy onion rings on a paper towel to drain the excess oil, accompanied by your favorite sauces.

Note: To remove the bitter taste, keep the peeled onion in plenty of water for 30 minutes.
Instead of corn starch, you can use wheat starch, instead of corn flakes, you can use galeta flour.
