ingredients:
- 4 pieces of chicken thighs (chicken fillets can also be used)
- 1 onion
- 2 teaspoons bitter sauce
- 4 cups of water
- 3 cups of walnut kernels
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 cup clarified butter
- 1 glass of water
- 5 tablespoons of corn flour
For the sauce:
Method of preparation:
Heat oil in a deep pot and fry finely chopped onions. Add the well-washed and drained chicken pieces and 1 teaspoon of pepper and continue frying. After roasting for 10 minutes, add 4 cups of hot water and cover the pot and cook until the chicken is tender.
While the chicken is cooking, prepare the sauce. Pour the water into a small pot and when it boils, add the cornmeal. Cook for 15 minutes stirring constantly on medium heat, remove from heat and leave to cool.
Grind the walnuts in a food processor until the oil comes out (the walnuts will start to stick together as they grind). Add the garlic and the remaining 1 teaspoon of pepper and continue to grind. (As a result of this operation, everything will become a ball.) Add the cooled sauce to the mixture in the food processor and continue mixing. They will all start to stick together. Add 3 spoons of the water of the chickens you cooked earlier to the mixture you prepared and continue to mix with a kitchen robot.
Place the chicken pieces on the serving plate and pour the prepared sauce over it, mix well and serve.
If you want, you can serve the walnut chicken with mashed potatoes.
